The Esperanza Monthly Support Group is a cornerstone of LCCTF’s commitment to supporting Latinos affected by cancer. As the only Spanish-language cancer support group in Rhode Island, it provides a safe, welcoming environment for patients and caregivers to share their stories and find strength in community.
Who It’s For: The group is open to anyone in the Latino community who has been affected by cancer—whether as a patient, survivor, or caregiver.
What Participants Can Expect: A supportive space where participants can talk openly about their experiences, gain insights from others, and access valuable resources. Meetings are conducted entirely in Spanish, ensuring a culturally and linguistically appropriate environment.
Meeting Details: Sessions are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Providence Health Center, 355 Prairie Ave. Each meeting features discussions, guest speakers, and opportunities for group connection.
